Venice: A Beautiful Ending to the Journey

From Tuscany, we continued north to Venice — a place that always feels like a dream.

There is truly nothing like Venice. No cars, no traffic, just winding canals, bridges, boats, hidden alleyways, and beauty around every corner. Even after multiple visits, it still feels magical every single time.

We loved showing Tommy the little details that make Venice so special: quiet canals away from the crowds, tiny cafés tucked into corners, gondolas gliding through the water, and evenings where the city glows under soft golden light.

Favorite Venice Moments

• Watching gondolas pass while enjoying espresso by the canal
• Wandering without a map and getting wonderfully lost
• Shopping for Venetian treasures
• Sharing cicchetti and spritz while soaking in the atmosphere

Favorite Venice Spots

• Rialto Bridge early in the morning
• St. Mark’s Square in the evening after the crowds thin out
• Quiet side streets and canals away from the busy tourist areas
• My favorite perfume shop: The Merchant of Venice
• The best view from Ponte dell’Accademia

Venice Tips

• Get lost on purpose — that’s where Venice becomes truly magical.
• Early mornings and evenings are the best times to explore.
• Pack light if possible; navigating bridges with luggage can be challenging.
• Sit down for a spritz and simply enjoy the atmosphere. Venice is all about slowing down.

Grateful for Every Moment ❤️

This trip gave us so much more than beautiful photographs and memories. It gave us time together, moments with family, celebrations of love, and the opportunity to share experiences across generations.

Travel always reminds me how important it is to pause, explore, connect, and appreciate the beauty around us.
